On this tour we combine nature exploring with stories from the landslides that occurred in Seyðisfjörður in 2020 and caused evacuation of the entire town just a few days before Christmas. You will learn some interesting facts & history about the charming town of Seyðisfjörður while enjoying beautiful views from the hills above the fjord. By the end of the tour we visit the unique sound sculpture “tvísöngur” made by the german artist Lukas Kuhne.
What to wear
As you know weather can change quite fast here in Iceland so we recommend that you wear layers.
Hiking boots or good trail running shoes
Warm layers that are comfortable and easy to adjust according to conditions
Weatherproof jacket and pants depending on forecast
Headwear and gloves
Small daypack is recommended for carrying extras such as a water bottle and extra layers.
